Within our organization, pharmacists truly practice at the top of their license with numerous collaborative practice protocols in both acute and ambulatory care settings. From actively assisting with procedural sedation and emergency medical scenarios to initiating and managing guideline-directed medication therapy for patients with heart failure, our pharmacists enjoy a progressive practice model within a highly supportive and progressive health system.

VMFH residency programs strive to develop a foundation of critical thinking and leadership skills that will promote continuous professional development and innovation in health care. Among our six different programs, experiences range from community hospital to academic medical center, specialty clinics to population health. In all settings, resident pharmacists are integral members of the interdisciplinary team.
