Current Residents: St. Joseph Pharmacy Residency

Alex Zirkle

Alex Zirkle is from Buckley, Washington. Following a previous career as an EMT, she received her PharmD from the University of Washington. She is interested in emergency medicine and critical care. Alex enjoys hiking and backpacking, tabletop games, going to concerts, reading, and drawing. Through her residency year, she is looking forward to growing as a clinical pharmacist and helping to serve the South Sound community.

Hannah Davis

Hannah Davis is from Baton Rouge, Louisiana. She earned her PharmD from Xavier University of Louisiana. Hannah has strong interests in emergency medicine and acute care. In her free time, she enjoys working out, playing the clarinet, caring for her plants, and exploring new restaurants. Through residency, she looks forward to expanding her clinical knowledge and strengthening her community through health and wellness.

JinTao Zhu

JinTao Zhu was born in China and moved to Seattle at the age of 8. He graduated with his PharmD from the University of Washington. His current clinical areas of interest are in oncology and critical care, but he also finds pediatrics and neonatology fascinating given the limited data and resources for alternative treatments in these populations. In his free time, JinTao enjoys listening to music, cooking, and watching motorsports races, specifically Formula 1. He is looking forward to working alongside many pharmacists with different backgrounds and experiences as he gets to learn about various areas of practice. He is also excited to participate in projects to improve clinical practice at SJMC and throughout the rest of VMFH.

Julie Braman

Julie Braman was born and raised in the beautiful Puget Sound region, growing up in Puyallup, Washington. She completed her undergraduate studies at Washington State University, earning a Bachelor of Pharmacy, and went on to earn her PharmD from the University of Washington School of Pharmacy. Julie has a deep passion for patient care and is especially excited by the evolving role of pharmacists in today’s health care system. Her current clinical interests include emergency medicine, critical care, and infectious disease. Outside of work, Julie enjoys spending time with her husband exploring new restaurants, sipping coffee, and sharing great pizza. She also loves skiing in the winter, hiking in the summer, and taking full advantage of everything the Pacific Northwest has to offer. Julie is grateful for the opportunity to continue her professional journey and is excited to grow her clinical skills with the Virginia Mason Franciscan Health team!

Stephanie Chen

Stephanie Chen grew up in the suburbs of Chicago. She earned a Bachelor’s in Biology from the University of Wisconsin–Madison before completing her PharmD at the University of Illinois at Chicago. Her clinical interests include critical care and emergency medicine. In her free time, she enjoys playing sports, taking on DIY projects, and trying new recipes. Stephanie is excited to join Virginia Mason Franciscan Health and looks forward to learning from the team and strengthening her clinical skills.
