Compliments/Concerns

At Virginia Mason Franciscan Health, your experience is our priority. We encourage you to share your thoughts and concerns with your nurse, doctor or other staff member. If you feel your concerns haven't been adequately addressed, please reach out to our Patient Relations team via phone at 1-877-426-4701, email at VMFHPatientRelations@commonspirit.org or through our convenient online feedback form.

We will contact you within two business days to understand your experience and explain our grievance processes. We assure you that all concerns will be thoroughly investigated. A written response detailing the steps taken to investigate your grievance and the resulting findings will be provided. While we strive to provide a response within 7-14 business days, please allow up to 30 business days for more complex investigations.

You also have a right to file a complaint with the Washington Department of Health, regardless of whether you choose to first use the hospital grievance process. The Washington Department of Health Hospital Complaint Hotline is 1‐800‐633‐6828. Any concern about patient safety or care in the hospital, that the hospital has not addressed, may also be referred to the Joint Commission’s Office of Quality Monitoring at 1‐800‐994‐6610.
