Christopher Bredeson, MBA, FACHE, serves as President of Virginia Mason Medical Center, bringing a distinguished record of strategic leadership, operational excellence, and collaborative innovation to one of the Pacific Northwest's most respected academic medical centers.

Before joining Virginia Mason Franciscan Health, Chris served seven years as Chief Operating and Strategy Officer at EvergreenHealth in Kirkland, where he spearheaded the organization's growth strategy, launched a pediatric joint venture with Seattle Children's Hospital, and delivered a $73 million increase in EBITDA. Previously, as President and COO of MultiCare Good Samaritan Hospital, he led a major campus expansion, opened three freestanding emergency departments, and drove a quality and safety turnaround that earned a Leapfrog A grade and the Washington State Hospital Association's "Achieving Best Care Award."

An engaged community leader, Chris serves on the boards of Washington Hospital Services, the Washington Health Alliance, and the WSHA Public Policy and Advocacy Committee. He was honored with the 2026 American Hospital Association Grassroots Champion Award for his advocacy efforts.

Chris holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Washington, a Master of Business Administration in Healthcare Administration from City University of Seattle, and is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives. Outside of work, he enjoys the Pacific Northwest outdoors, traveling, and spending time with his wife and their three grown children.

Jennifer Collins, MN-AL, RN, serves as the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) for Virginia Mason Medical Center (VMMC). Jennifer has more than 20 years of progressive leadership experience spanning various clinical and administrative roles, from critical access hospitals to large health systems. She has a proven track record in driving positive change, fostering high-performing teams, and achieving significant patient care improvements.

Before joining Virginia Mason Franciscan Health, Jennifer served as the Chief Nursing Officer at Bay Area Hospital District in Coos Bay, Ore., where she made a profound impact on both operational efficiency and staff well-being, notably reducing RN turnover, increasing revenues, and maintaining expense control.

Jennifer is not only a seasoned and results-driven operational leader but also a passionate advocate for leader development, health equity, and building safe, healthy teams. She has developed emotional intelligence training programs for leaders and staff, built a year-long leadership development curriculum, and is a published author and national speaker on gratitude in the workplace.

Outside of her professional life, Jennifer enjoys spending time in the Puget Sound region with her husband of 25 years and their three children. They appreciate all the area has to offer, from hiking to time on the water.
