Russell J. Woolley serves as the Chief Operating Officer/Hospital Administrator at Virginia Mason Franciscan Health St. Francis Hospital and St. Anne Hospital.

Prior to joining Virginia Mason Franciscan Health in October of 2016, Mr. Woolley served as Vice President Operations at University of Colorado Health in Fort Collins, Colorado.

Board-certified in healthcare management, Mr. Woolley is a fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives. He graduated from University of Michigan with a master degree in business administration and a master degree in health management and policy. His undergraduate study was completed at Brigham Young University.

Mr. Woolley is active in community affairs and many community organizations. He serves on the board of directors for Highline Medical Center Foundation, Highline Medical Services Organization, Performance Home Medical, and Highline Physical Therapy, and Washington State Healthcare Executives Forum.

In 2013, Mr. Woolley was recognized as one of Colorado’s “40 under forty” by the Colorado Business Report as an individual who has had an impact on his organization as well as made significant contributions of time and talent to the community.

Russ and his wife, Carrie, a performing violinist and music educator, are parents of four children and live in Normandy Park, Washington.
