Volunteer Services
The volunteers at Virginia Mason Franciscan Health are instrumental in helping us to fulfill our mission of providing quality, compassionate health care. This year, our volunteers are on track to give over 50,000 hours in over 100 different areas—from nursing units and infusion centers, to improvement efforts and special events.
Hospital/Clinic volunteer requirements
- All volunteers, regardless of role, must be at least 16 years of age. For certain positions, volunteers must be 18 years of age.
- Hospital and Clinic volunteers are required to make a commitment of 100 hours or 6-months. We are not able to accommodate short term volunteers at this time, this includes summer only volunteers.
- Volunteers are required to commit to one scheduled four hour shift per week.
