June 27, 2025: Important outpatient lab services update:

To provide more seamless, coordinated care, Virginia Mason Franciscan Health (VMFH) has brought lab services in-house. As part of this change:

Labcorp Patient Service Centers in VMFH facilities in South King and Pierce counties closed on Friday, June 27, 2025. See a list of locations below.
New VMFH lab services opened in the same locations on Monday, June 30, 2025.
Business hours will remain the same

Outpatient lab services are available for:

VMFH and Franciscan Medical Group (FMG) patients or
Patients referred by an independent (non-FMG) provider as long as they bring
- A completed lab order with demographic and billing information
- A fax number for the referring provider to receive results

We are unable to accept walk-in patients without a referral and required documentation.

Our laboratories provide superior customer service focused on meeting the needs of our patients and providers.

Virginia Mason Medical Center patients may use any of these sites for outpatient blood draws:

Pre-procedure labwork – Lab testing related to a hospital-scheduled surgery or hospital procedure, including blood transfusions, can be done at any Virginia Mason Franciscan Health hospital laboratory or one of the Outpatient Patient Service Centers listed below.

For lab testing not related to a hospital-scheduled surgery or hospital procedure, go to any VMFH Patient Service Center listed below, or to one of the Franciscan Medical Group (FMG) Patient Service Centers listed above.
