Application Center - St. Anne Pharmacy Residency

The St. Anne Hospital pharmacy residency is a PGY1 program fully accredited by the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP). Our mission is to develop competent, confident pharmacy practitioners who will function effectively in various health care environments, while developing skills in pharmacy practice management.

  • The following residency training programs offered by Virginia Mason are accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME).

    The residency programs at Virginia Mason are small and highly competitive. We will offer the following number of positions for the 2024-25 academic year: The submission deadline for PGY1 positions for all programs is Nov. 1, 2023.

    • St. Anne Hospital deadline: All materials must be received in PhORCAS by January 2, 2024
    • On-site interviews will be held by invitation in January and February

    For consideration in the St. Joseph Medical Center, St. Joseph Medical Center PGY1 in an Ambulatory setting, St. Anne Hospital, or St. Michael Medical Center Residency Programs, you are required to complete the PhORCAS standardized application and provide our programs’ supplemental materials:

    1. Complete set of pharmacy school transcripts
    2. Complete a short, professional video upload for the supplemental application questions. Instructions for each program are listed here:
    3. Three standardized professional reference forms and standardized questions:
      1. Two references should be from practicing clinical pharmacists with whom the applicant has had patient care experience
      2. The remaining reference can be from a faculty member in the applicant’s professional degree program, from work experience, or another health professional who can evaluate the candidate’s clinical experience

    5. Letter of intent
