Curriculum - Podiatry Residency

Residents enjoy a variety of comprehensive rotations each year of training. Educational opportunities include journal club, lectures, grand rounds, surgery lab, dissection lab, conferences, and participation in multiple fellowships. Residents perform research in the Franciscan Foot and Ankle Institute Research Laboratory, and are required to give scientific presentations at regional meetings.

First year rotations

Third year rotations

  • Jurisprudence
  • Reconstructive Foot and Ankle Surgery
  • Sports Medicine

Externships

The chief residents will set the surgical schedule each week and assign cases for the externships to shadow one of the residents each day and scrub into or observe surgeries as allowable.
