Education

Dr. Watson attended Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana, where he graduated in 1991 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Secondary Education.

He completed a Master of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of Texas at El Paso in 1997.​

Dr. Watson received a Health Professions Scholarship from the United States Navy in 1997 and completed his medical studies in 2001, graduating from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center School of Medicine in Lubbock, Texas.

From 2001–2004 he completed Family Medicine residency training at Jacksonville Naval Hospital in Jacksonville, Florida.

​In 2010, he completed his Family Medicine Residency Network Faculty Development Fellowship at the University of Washington in Seattle.
