St. Elizabeth Hospital
Renee Espinosa joined the St. Elizabeth Hospital team as Vice President and Chief Operating Officer (COO) in August of 2019, providing administrative and operational leadership for inpatient and outpatient operations. Additionally, as of June 2020, Renee will be the executive support for Behavioral Health Services for CHI-Franciscan.
Renee is an accomplished and diverse leader who has been with Virginia Mason Franciscan Health for 28 years. Prior to coming to St. Elizabeth, Renee worked at SJMC in Tacoma and held many leadership roles including ICU Manager, Director of Disaster Management, Director of Patient Care Services and for 13 years, Director of St. Joseph Medical Center Emergency Services.
As a leader in healthcare leadership, Renee is a strong patient advocate in regard to quality and safe patient care and consistently champions’ efforts around seamless patient throughput and patient focused care.
Renee earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from Montana State University and her Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration from Troy State University. Renee and her family live in Tacoma, WA.
