Making a gift to the Virginia Mason Franciscan Health General Fund allows us to direct your donation where it's needed most — whether it's purchasing new equipment or developing a new program. With your help, we can continue to offer the highest quality care in our hospitals, clinics and facilities. Combining compassion and medical excellence, we provide leading edge, comprehensive care.
The Franciscan Violence Prevention initiative is a community program that uses a public health model to create sustainable, measurable violence prevention strategies to reduce youth violence in our communities. Currently, their work includes expanding social/emotional learning in Federal Way elementary schools, and leading community violence prevention coalitions in Federal Way, Des Moines and the Parkland communities.
“To say that having outside community-based support is valuable is a gross understatement. Honestly, it’s a lifeline that allows us to reach beyond the everyday demands of running a school.” - Margaret Peterson, Principal, Kilo Middle School
Franciscan’s Clothing Closet provides support to any patient at our facilities who, at the time of discharge, needs new clothing. Patients whose clothes may be torn, ripped or unusable, and who may not have access to clean clothing prior to leaving the hospital receive new ones. This provides not only a physical connection for our patients, but extends compassion towards a level of dignity that some of these patients have not experienced.
Gifts support your physicians, nurses and community. Your gifts provide vital assistance and necessary resources to support our frontline care givers and patients impacted by COVID-19 and/or other critical needs that may arise through this current or any future emergency.
Nursing and Allied Health Employee Scholarships are a vital way to support the continuing education needs of our staff. Since 1996, over 400 scholarships have been awarded to deserving employees totaling over $690,000
Gifts support the capital needs and technology advancements at Virginia Mason Franciscan Health hospitals.
