Today, Virginia Mason Franciscan Health (VMFH) announced the opening of its new West Seattle primary and specialty care clinic, which will begin seeing patients on Monday, Dec. 9. Located at 3400 California Avenue SW, the new clinic will replace its existing West Seattle location with a 20,000 square-foot space and expanded services including primary care, women’s health (OB/GYN), cardiology, gastroenterology and rheumatology services. VMFH will continue to offer urgent care services in West Seattle at 4755 Fauntleroy Way SW.
“We are incredibly excited to open a new space, creating capacity to serve more patients and bringing even more needed specialty care to the West Seattle community,” noted Ketul J. Patel, CEO of Virginia Mason Franciscan Health and president of CommonSpirit Health’s Northwest Region. “At Virginia Mason Franciscan Health, we are committed to bringing high quality, specialty care closer to home for our patients and this milestone is just one example of our commitment in action.”
According to the West Seattle Chamber of Commerce, nearly one-fifth of Seattle’s total population resides in West Seattle, and Seattle remains the 13th fastest growing city among the 50 most-populous U.S. cities.
The expansion of primary and specialty care while continuing to offer urgent care services aims to fill the sustained health care needs in West Seattle and surrounding areas. West Seattle patients in need of care outside of core services offered at the new clinic, can expect coordinated care at area VMFH hospitals – St. Anne Hospital in Burien and Virginia Mason Medical Center in Seattle.
“Every one of our patients has unique needs and health care goals,” noted Jane Root, President, Physician Enterprise - Northwest Markets. “Our goal is to provide coordinated, compassionate care at every touch point, enhancing their overall experience and driving positive outcomes. This new clinic space comes at just the right time as our team continues to grow and patients are seeking even more care closer to home.”
Appointments can be made Monday through Friday, starting at 7 a.m. PT. More information is available at www.vmfh.org/west-seattle. Certain appointments at this location can be scheduled online – visit www.vmfh.org/access to learn more.
