Kristin Peterson received her Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy in 1997 and her Doctor of Pharmacy Degree in 1998, both from the University of Washington. She also completed a Pharmacy Practice Residency at the Veteran’s Administration in Seattle in 1998. She has worked for Virginia Mason Franciscan Health’s St. Joseph Medical Center since 1998 and currently is the PGY-1 in an Ambulatory Setting Residency Program Director and the Ambulatory Clinical Pharmacy Supervisor for the Ambulatory team. Kristin has played an integral role in the development of all Ambulatory Pharmacy Services. She is a Board Certified Specialist in Ambulatory Care Pharmacy.
Jennifer Bilsing is one of the Emergency Services department pharmacists and co-preceptor at St. Francis Hospital. Jennifer earned her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Wyoming in 2005. She completed a Pharmacy Practice Residency at Franciscan Health System in 2006. Jennifer is an active member of the ED Core Group. She is also a member of American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) and Washington State Pharmacy Association (WSPA).
Michael J. Bonck is Manager of Regional Pharmaceutical Quality, Information and Technology Services for Virginia Mason Franciscan Health. After earning his BS degree in Chemistry from Gonzaga in 1974, he received his BS degree in Pharmacy from the University of Washington in 1979. Major areas of expertise include budget development and monitoring, contracting, P&T Committee, cost savings initiatives, 340B, and CQI methods. He is the former CHI Franciscan Health IRB chairman and a member of the CommonSpirit IRB. Mike has a faculty appointment at the University of Washington. He has presented at local and national pharmacy meetings. He is an active member of WSPA and ASHP. He recently completed a 10-year term on the 340B Health Board and remains as a member of the 340B Health Pharmacy Services Committee. He has been an active member of the Apexus Council since 2008. He helps represent CommonSpirit on a Premier Buying Group Advisory Committee. Mike serves as a primary preceptor for the Practice Management rotation.
Amanda Carter is a Clinical Ambulatory Pharmacist primarily practicing in the Heart Failure clinic at St. Joseph Medical Center. She received her undergraduate degree from Washington State University in 2005, and received her Doctor of Pharmacy from Midwestern University – Glendale in June 2012. Amanda has been part of the Ambulatory Pharmacy team since 2017. She spent more than three years practicing in Primary Care prior to transitioning to the Heart Failure clinic. She is Board Certified in Ambulatory Care.
Kara Crane is a Clinical Ambulatory Care Pharmacist, practicing primarily in the Peninsula Region. She received her PharmD from The University of Wyoming and completed her PGY-1 Residency through the University of Washington Community Residency Program where she practiced in an ambulatory care setting in Monroe, Washington. She is Board Certified in Ambulatory Care and is currently a Clinical Pharmacist Specialist in addition to the Residency Program Coordinator for the PGY-1 Residency in an Ambulatory setting.
Melissa Flaherty is the Regional Director of Clinical Pharmacy Programs – Inpatient and Ambulatory for CHI Pacific Northwest. Melissa received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree in 2002 from Washington State University College of Pharmacy. Thereafter, she completed a PGY-1 Pharmacy Practice Residency at Franciscan Health System in 2003. Melissa has served in a leadership capacity for much of her career: beginning as an Internal Medicine Pharmacist Specialist at St. Joseph Medical Center from 2004-2005 and at CJW Medical Center in Richmond, Virginia 2005-2006. Thereafter, she transitioned to Clinical Pharmacy Manager at Bon Secours St Mary’s Hospital in Richmond, 2006-2012. Following a relocation back to the West coast, she then served as a Clinical Coordinator, Clinical Manager and Clinical Director for Scripps Health in San Diego, during her time with the organization (2012-2018). After relocation back to the Pacific Northwest, Melissa returned to Virginia Mason Franciscan Health in 2019 as Director of Pharmacy at St Anne Hospital. Melissa is a member of American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP), Washington State Pharmacy Association (WSPA) and American College of Clinical Pharmacy (ACCP). She has presented on many topics related to her work both locally and nationally. Melissa supports the residency program as a preceptor for the Practice Management rotation.
Chelsey Fraser is the Internal Medicine Clinical Specialist at St. Clare Hospital in Lakewood. She received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Idaho State University in 2017 and completed residency training at St. Joseph Medical Center in 2018. Chelsey is the antimicrobial stewardship liaison at St. Clare Hospital and is also a member of critical care core group and internal medicine core group within our system and a member of American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP). She is the primary preceptor for the Introduction to Internal Medicine rotation at St. Clare Hospital.
Justin Jellison is the Infectious Disease Pharmacist Specialist, chair of the regional antimicrobial stewardship program, and ID preceptor at St. Joseph Medical Center. He coordinates regional projects relating to antibiotics, such as treatment algorithms, order sets, and provider education, etc. He serves on various local, statewide, and national committees pursuing various forms of antimicrobial stewardship. He received his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Washington State University in 2006. Justin completed his Pharmacy Practice Residency at Southwest Medical Center in 2007.
Michael Lindgren is a Supervisor and Clinical Pharmacist at Franciscan Hospice and Palliative Care. He received his Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from the University of Washington in 1987. He has worked for Franciscan Hospice and Palliative Care since 1999, providing pharmaceutical care in pain management and end-of-life symptom management. He is a member of WSPA and is the preceptor for the Franciscan Hospice House rotation.
Joshua Miller graduated from the University of Iowa College of Pharmacy in 2006. After graduating he completed a residency with the Franciscan Health System. Joshua currently is an Emergency Services department pharmacist at St. Francis Hospital.
Thanh Hang Nguyen received her Doctor of Pharmacy Degree in 2006 from the University of Washington. She has worked for St Joseph Medical Center since 2006 in both the outpatient retail pharmacy and clinical settings. Hang currently works in the Virginia Mason Franciscan Health Primary Care Clinics and Anticoagulation Clinics and she is a Board Certified Specialist in Ambulatory Care Pharmacy.
Rachna Patel received her PharmD from St. John’s University College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences in 2016 and completed a PGY-1 Pharmacy Practice Residency at the University of Rochester in New York. She joined the Franciscan Ambulatory Care Team in May 2018, and is currently working in the Primary Care, Anticoagulation and Rheumatology Clinics. She is Board Certified in Ambulatory Care. She is an active member of the American Pharmacists Association (APhA) and the American Society of Health System Pharmacists (ASHP).
Ferowsi Pecoraro is currently an Oncology Pharmacy Supervisor at Virginia Mason Franciscan Health overseeing pharmacy services for oncology and infusion clinics at five hospitals in the Pacific Northwest region. She graduated from Washington State University with her Doctor of Pharmacy degree and completed a pharmacy practice residency at Good Samaritan Hospital in Puyallup, Washington. Shortly after, she moved to New York and worked at Mount Sinai Hospital as an oncology pharmacist. Ferowsi returned to Washington and in 2006 became the Oncology Pharmacist Specialist at St Joseph Medical Center in Tacoma where she helped to grow pharmacy services to support the oncology service line and expanding the oncology pharmacist’s role. In the past she has served as a guest lecturer for oncology pharmacy courses at Washington State University and Pacific University. She is board certified in oncology and has practiced in this area for the past 14 years sharing her knowledge with pharmacy residents and students who have completed rotations with her. Ferowsi has served as the PGY-1 Residency Program Director for almost two years.
Emily Strovink is an Internal Medicine Specialist at St. Anthony Hospital. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in nutrition and her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Minnesota. Emily completed a Pharmacy Practice Residency at St. Joseph Medical Center in 2010. She is currently primary preceptor for the Internal Medicine rotation at St. Anthony Hospital.
Aaron Warren received his undergraduate degree from Saint Martin’s University in Lacey, Washington. He then went on to Pacific University School of Pharmacy in Hillsboro, Oregon where he earned his Doctorate of Pharmacy. Aaron started his career working as an inpatient clinical pharmacist for St Joseph Medical Center in 2013 and his main focus during this time was oncology. Later he was able to transition to the ambulatory side of patient care where his true passion lies. Aaron has been a member of both the American Society for Health-System Pharmacist (ASHP) and the American College of Clinical Pharmacy (ACCP) since 2014.
Kevin Warren received his PharmD from Pacific University in Hillsboro, Oregon. He began his career with Fred Meyer in 2013 and joined the Virginia Mason Franciscan Health team in 2018 as the Outpatient Pharmacy Supervisor for St. Joseph Medical Center. While working in the community pharmacy setting, Kevin has helped implement new clinical programs such as Travel Medicine and Medication Therapy Management among others.
Stephanie Winkler received her Bachelor of Pharmacy from Washington State University in 1994 and her Doctor of Pharmacy Degree from the University of Colorado in 2012. She has worked within the Franciscan Medical System since 1998 as an outpatient pharmacist in both retail and clinical settings. Currently she is a provider for Virginia Mason Franciscan Health Primary Care and Anticoagulation Clinics. Stephanie is Board Certified in Ambulatory Care.
