Paid personal time off

Benefits include four weeks of paid personal time off per year, to use as vacation, sick and continuing medical education (CME) days.

Continuing medical education

Continuing medical education coverage is provided at $4,000 per year. This will cover travel, conference expenses, and other CME related expenses (some restrictions may apply).


Medical, dental, group life and disability insurance are provided for residents and dependents. Primary medical professional liability insurance coverage, including “tail” coverage, is provided to all residents through Virginia Mason Franciscan Health.

Salaries and stipends

Annual salaries are very competitive. Residents will have access to relocation assistance, the Physician Lounge for food, a regular good stipend, an annual housing stipend, phone stipend, and a membership to a gym in the area.
