Franciscan Clothing Closet – St. Michael Medical Center provides support to any patient at our facilities who, at the time of discharge, needs new clothing. Patients whose clothes may be torn, ripped or unusable, and who may not have access to clean clothing prior to leaving the hospital receive new ones. This provides not only a physical connection for our patients, but extends compassion towards a level of dignity that some of these patients have not experienced.
The Small Gifts program supports patients in need by providing help with transportation to and from the hospital and our clinics, clothing, and medical supplies.
Gifts support your physicians, nurses and community. Your gifts provide vital assistance and necessary resources to support our frontline care givers and patients impacted by COVID-19 and/or other critical needs that may arise through this current or any future emergency.
Supporting the continuing education of needs of our staff is critical to ensuring the best patient care. Community gifts support the RN Residency Program — an 18-week training program for all newly graduated nurses hired at St. Michael Medical Center. The Program provides essential training and support for bringing new nurse graduates into the complex environment of an acute-care medical center.
